Enrolment scheme

Enrolment at Grey Lynn School is governed by an enrolment scheme approved by the Ministry of Education.  The enrolment scheme details our school’s “home zone” (description below), all children within this home zone are invited to enrol. Pre enrolment is advised as this will assist with planning for classes.

  1. We recommend that in the year your child turns 4, that you call at the school to complete an enrolment form. We will provide you with an information pack and further enrolment details.
  2. You can make an appointment for you and your child to meet with the principal and to be shown around the school.
  3. We will arrange for four class visits prior to commencing school.
  4. Your child may start school on the day they turn 5, or any day following their birthday.
  5. There will be an opportunity for you to meet with other new parents starting at Grey Lynn School and for us to give you information and advice regarding the transition to school.
