AT Great North Rd Imrovements

We are making good progress completing intersection improvements and footpath upgrades, and installing new pedestrian crossings, bus stops and garden beds. Intersections are being reopened progressively as they are completed, and planting has started. This work will continue for the next month.

We are now at the final stage, road repairs and resurfacing. Road repairs have begun and will be completed along with road resurfacing by the end of the year.

Repairs start on the northern side of Great North Road near Crummer Road, progressing towards Ponsonby Road, then switching to the southern side. Road repairs are not required in all areas. Most repairs will be on the southern side of Great North Road.

Once road repairs are complete, road resurfacing will begin. Resurfacing work will involve some nightwork to allow for full road closures, ensuring high-quality finish and faster completion. We will contact residents and businesses in the area closer to the date with more information.
