In order to continue providing the high quality of education and facilities Grey Lynn School offers we ask that our families pay a donation to help us top up the money we receive from the Government and we hope you will support us in this effort. We appreciate your support and contributions are gratefully received.
It is very much appreciated if this payment is made at the beginning of the year along with the stationery costs to enable your child to have the resources they need when they start school.
HOW TO PAY
Our method of payment is by Kindo which is an online school payment system. If you don't already have a Kindo account please go to www.greylynn.school.nz and click on GLS Shop to start. Your child's profile has all their costs loaded.
If you need help to set Kindo up or have any questions please either contact the Kindo support desk directly on 09-869 5200 or email hello@mykindo.co.nz or the school office.
SCHOOL DONATION 2025
All families are encouraged to make a donation to the school as it is a critical source of funding. Our school donation is $400.00 per child.
Did you know you can get a tax rebate for your school donations? Click here for how to claim this. You can claim 33.33 cents for every dollar you donate to the school. So your $400.00 donation above will only cost you $266.68.
Learning Experiences and Activities - $90.00
Extracurricular activities refer to an activity that is not a part of the delivery of the core curriculum at school but is provided to our students to enrich and enhance their learning experience.
This includes visiting shows or experiences at school and offsite; trips in the community. It includes a cost of $10 per term for all students to participate in the incredible Garden to Table Programme Grey Lynn School proudly offers.
Activity Specific Costs
There may be additional costs depending on the different learning experiences specific to a class or team experience which your child may choose to be involved in, including Year 6 camp, EOTC Education outside the class and sports teams over the year.
Garden to Table
Established in 2008, Garden to Table Trust is a registered charity (CC37743) that works with thousands of primary-school-aged children all across New Zealand, helping them discover a love for fresh food and skills that will last a lifetime. The programme is curriculum-integrated and provides real-world learning opportunities, taking learning outside the classroom.
Online programmes - Reading Eggs, Maths Whizz $60.00
The school has obtained a student licence for these valuable online learning programmes and pass them onto parents at a heavily discounted price. These programmes support student’s learning in the classroom and their home learning.
Children will be provided a logon and password once the requested payment has been made.
Photocopying and Printing - $20.00
STATIONERY 2025 - This is a separate purchase on Kindo
In order to ensure all children have the correct stationery, we arrange each year for the supplier to arrange our student’s stationery requirements. All students receive all required stationery items in one convenient pack. Stationery is delivered to the school directly with no fuss to parents.
In this way we are able to negotiate a very competitive price that we pass on to parents. All stationery payments for 2025 can be made online directly using KINDO. *(Remember stationery is a separate purchase to make, it is not part of the school costs that have been allocated to each child)
New Entrant Pack = $52.51
Year 1 Pack = $58.87
Year 2/3 Pack = $51.36
Year 4/5/6 Pack = $59.57
*Please note that headphones (that cover the ears) are recommended for all students to have at school for their personal use. Please either arrange to bring in a headset from home or purchase it if needed. Thanks.
