Get ready for some epic fun this September. We The Young, a brand-new festival of arts, imagination, and adventures for tamariki and rangatahi, is coming to Auckland’s city centre. We The Young has over 19 performances, events and workshops, with over half of them completely FREE.

During the festival step into a world made entirely of paper that needs your help to help build it at Paper Planet, listen as te taiao (nature) is brought to life through waiata and storytelling at Pīpī Paopao, explore whether aliens are real at Creation Creation, experience a giant-sized chess set featuring 14 towering pieces in Aotea Square called Checkmate, test your skills in a speed-painting showdown with A Taste of Art Battle – Young Guns. Plus, a whole heap more shows and fun to be had!

No matter your age, stage or vibe there’s something for everyone to enjoy, whether your 6 months or 16 years, grown-ups of course, you’re invited too.
