My art classes introduce young students to fine arts through history, culture, and hands-on practice. We have a lot of fun exploring a wide range of mediums including drawing, painting, printing, sculpture, and photography in a nurturing, and disciplined environment. Emphasis is placed on developing visual thinking, observation, and foundational skills such as line, tone, and composition. Students learn to truly see what they are drawing through exercises like blind drawing and continuous line drawing.

Bravery and a willingness to fail are essential in the creative process. Object based learning fosters critical thinking and a deeper appreciation for the visual arts. Through practice, students also learn about art history and contemporary art while building creative thinking, problem solving, and collaborative skills.
